Shadowridge - WGA Open House

Ladies, To celebrate the end of Summer, and while we look forward to growing our Membership for 2026, we are pleased to announce that we will be hosting another WGA Open House. Our initial Open House was a huge success, and everyone had a great time. We are hoping that you will join us again, rep the WGA, and welcome potential new members to our group. Please note there will be no sweeps game on Saturday, October 11 and Tuesday, October 14. DATE: Tuesday, October 14 TIME: 3:00 PM The game will be an easy going, fun 9-Hole Scramble, with food and frivolity after in the Grill. (There is no entry fee to play in the Scramble.) Our Halloween CrushIt! Junior Golf Clinic is a playful skills session where juniors learn spooky-good fundamentals—grips, aim, short game, and full-swing—through festive games. Costumes welcome (golf-safe, please—nothing that blocks vision or movement) Make it a two-for-one afternoon of swings and creativity! Stick around after the clinic for Kids’ Pumpkin Decorating in the clubhouse. We’ll have pumpkins, paints, stickers, and all the boo-tiful supplies your little artist needs.

University Club San Diego - USD Professors with a Purpose @University Club San Diego

Professors with a Purpose Global Impact, Local Change: Lessons in Social Innovation from the Frontlines ​ Monday, October 27 | 7:30 am $25++ ​ Join Karen Henken, MBA, a Stanford-trained business leader, Fulbright Fellow, and award-winning educator, for an inspiring conversation on building purpose-driven enterprises that thrive across borders. Drawing on her decades of experience in business development at global tech companies such as Atari, Sybase and Sun Microsystems and her leadership in designing USD’s Master of Arts in Social Innovation, Karen will share practical strategies for connecting markets, creating meaningful partnerships, and launching initiatives that drive social change. She will also share stories from her work in emerging markets, including Rwanda, Vietnam, and Colombia, as well as her service on the boards of mission-driven organizations, including Kitchens for Good and Voices of Our City Choir. Participants will gain insights into how entrepreneurial thinking and global collaboration can spark transformation both in local communities and around the world. Lastly, Karen is one of 3 faculty USD members leading the University of San Diego's Global Executive Seminar. She has just returned from guiding a cohort of US executives in an immersive experience in Rwanda focused on business models for good.
